Zvishavane women in court for illegal possession of mbanje.

Two women from Zvishavane have appeared before a Magistrate court charged with the possession of illegal substances.

The two, Charity Mlambo and Anna Ngara of Makwasha suburb, were allegedly found in possession of 235 kilograms of marijuana.

They pleaded guilty to the charges and Zvishavane magistrate Archie Wochiunga remanded them out of custody to 3 December 2021 on $ZWL 20 000 bail each.

The state presented that on November 3, the two accused persons were searched by detectives following a tip-off. The court heard that they were found in possession of three bags of marijuana with each weighing 90kgs and another bag weighing 25 kgs.
