Residents and motorists in Zvishavane have called upon the local authority to patch up roads that have potholes.
Some residents in the mining town told 98.4FM News last Sunday that most roads in the town were posing danger to motorists due to their bad state.
”Tatichikumbirawo kuti dei kanzuru yedu yakwanisa kutigadzirirawo ma potholes nekuti ikozvino zvanyanya, kunyanya nguva ino mvura ichinaya zvikukonzera kuti tiite ma accidents nekuti hatisi kukwanisa kuona kuti ma potholes ndeapi sezvo anenge akazara mvura,” said a concerned resident.
“We are appealing to our city council to patch up potholes especially during this rainy season because traffic accidents occur due to these potholes as they are not easily identified as they will be covered with water.”
Most roads in the country were damaged by heavy rains last year and the government started rehabilitating some of the roads through the Emergency Road Rehabilitation Program (ERRP).
