Rhinos Cricket Club in Pro 50 championship finals

Rhinos Cricket Club booked a spot in the Pro 50 Championship finals after beating Southern Rocks at Kwekwe Sports Club on Monday

The Kwekwe based outfit won by 8 wickets with the best performances coming from Ben Curran who fell short of scoring a century by just two runs while team mate Antum Naqvi posted an impressive 71 runs.   

Speaking to 98.4FM after the match, the Club Coach, Adam Chifo praised his team’s performance, adding that he was happy that they had progressed to the finals.

“All we needed was a win and nothing else so we just went out there and asked the guys to do the best and fortunately enough things turned our way and we are happy to be in the final now.” he said

He also said there was a need to strengthen the team ahead of the finals, after losing in two consecutive finals previously.

Rhinos will know their opponents in the finals from the match between Eagles and Mega Market Mountaineers that will be played on Monday next week.
