1 Mins read

Internet service provider, Utande, has opened a new branch in Kwekwe, Midlands Province as it expands its footprint.

Speaking to Business Times on the sidelines of the official opening ceremony of the Kwekwe branch, Utande CEO, Never Ncube said: “What we are looking for here in the Midlands is to compete head to head with the providers that are already operating here. We think Kwekwe is an underserved market and our solutions speak to this market.

So over the next three or four years we really want to be a significant partner for the Kwekwe customer.”

Ncube said Utande was also targeting Zvishavane and other countries in the region.

“Last year we incorporated some companies in Botswana and South Africa, our vision is to grow beyond Zimbabwe,” Ncube said.

Utande Internet Services (Private) Limited is a subsidiary of Dandemutande Investments (Private) Limited, a licensed Internet Access Provider.

Utande offers a variety of business connectivity solutions to the SME and retail customer base.

The company was founded as a Corporate Internet Service Provider in July 1997 and offers internet and connectivity and converged ICT services to the SME and consumer market.
