Saviour Kasukuwere

The High court has barred Independent Presidential candidate and former Minister Saviour Kasukuwere from contesting the August 23 Presidential elections. Kasukuwere was one of the 11 Presidential candidates whose name was gazetted after being duly nominated when nomination court set on the 21st of June. However, High Court Judge, Justice David Mangota has nullified Kasukuwere’s nomination ruling adding that he should stop indicating that he is a Presidential candidate. This follows an appeal by a ZANU-PF youth, Lovedale Mangwana who argued that Kasukuwere seized to be a registered voter as he has been out of his constituency for over 18 consecutive months.
