Medical doctors in the Midlands Province are mourning the death of Kwekwe-based prominent health practitioner Dr. Conway Zengeza.
Dr. Zengeza succumbed to a severe anaphylaxis reaction after he was stung by wasps at his home on Sunday.
The death of Dr. Zengeza, according to Dr. Crispen Ngwenya, the president of the Zimbabwe Medical Association (ZIMA) Midlands Province, was a huge blow to the medical fraternity and a loss for the country.
“We are really saddened following the passing of our mentor, one of the prominent doctors, very illustrious, our teacher, a very kind man and a very excellent practitioner who had quite a lot of experience and who was teaching young practitioners, helping them to do very good work, so we have really lost as a country, as a profession”
Dr. Ngwenya said the death of the prominent medical doctor had left medical practitioners “emotionally down”.
Dr. Zengeza was the immediate past president of the Zimbabwe Medical Association in Midlands Province.
