The Botswana police have placed under arrest a 33-year-old man who was allegedly caught having sex with a duck, a chicken and a dog belonging to his neighbour, a local publication has reported.
When the information was followed up, Lebalang Maniki who is the commander of Francistown Police Station confirmed the incident. He however refused to disclose further details as it was not yet a concluded case.
According to the police commander, the suspect was detained by the police on Friday the 25th of March 2022. The authorities in the neighbouring country say that they are still collecting all the evidence in the matter in order to have it concluded by the courts.
The reports around the case have indicated that the suspect was released and he is being investigated for two cases of the three cases that the police have called unnatural offences.
The owner of the abused animals reported the bestiality incidents to the police. He has also been very vocal about the case and had requested for the suspect to be jailed for a long period. He claims that the family believes he has been tormenting the animals for so long and he could possibly be a threat to society, according to the news publication.
According to a publication by Zambia365news, animal rights groups are concerned by the number of incidents of bestiality in the country. Last year a 28-year-old man of Dovedale village was also caught sexually assaulting a goat.
According to animal rights advocates, there seems to be an especially high number of people who get caught having sex with animals.
Back in the year 2021, the police arrested a 67-year-old man in Mumbai’s suburban Andheri West. The man was accused of raping more than 30 stray dogs, according to local media. – IOL News.
