1 Mins read

Authorities in Kwekwe have managed to deal with the issue involving three men who terrorized women in Mbizo by habitually exposing their private parts, a local councilor has said.

The alleged trio caused a stir in Mbizo 10 residential suburb last year by flashing their genitals to women, raising residents` fear of possible sexual assault.

Kwekwe City Ward 12 Cllr Maxwell Washington Moyo, addressing residents during a ward development meeting, said the police, with the support of residents and the ward committee, had managed to put an end to the problem.

“We worked with the committee (Ward) to reduce incidents of men who would target women by exposing their private parts. Through the efforts of residents, community and the police, the incidents have stopped.”

Moyo did not say how the problem has been dealt with and whether the police had tracked down and arrested the alleged three men.

Some women in Mbizo 10 last year told 98.4FM News that they had encountered a group of three men who would strip down and expose their manhood before dressing up and running away. Moyo also confirmed to 98.4FM News that several incidents had occurred in Mbizo 10 involving three men who were going around exposing their genitalia to unsuspecting women.

The women said the three individuals would target girls that would be sweeping yards in the morning or fetching firewood in the forest.
