98.4FM Midlands scoops top award

Popular radio station, 98.4FM Midlands, has scooped the Outstanding Leader in Media and Communication Award at the Zimbabwe CEO’s Network Awards held last week in Gweru.

The ceremony was meant to honour outstanding business leaders in the Midlands Province.

98.4FM Midlands is a unit of integrated media company, AB Communications, which also operates Zimbabwe’s hottest radio station ZiFM StereoHevoi FM in Masvingo, Business Times, Truck Ads and television production company Mighty Movies.

AB Communications Head of marketing and sales, Norbert Tshetu, also walked away with the Outstanding Business Influencer Award.

The 98.4FM Midlands station manager, Chengetai Murimwa, said the award was a clear indication of the organisation’s dedication to serving Midlands province.

“We are excited to have won this award. This is a result of great teamwork by everyone at the station. This demonstrates that we are doing the right thing and we will continue serving Midlands Province,” Murimwa said.

He said the station will continue striving to serve and be the leader in content packaging and distribution in the Midlands region.
